Rising Star Lenora Releases "Part-Time Lover"

Rising Houston songstress, Lenora, proudly presents her single, Part-Time Lover as she gears up for the release of her debut full-length project, Girls. In addition to the single release, Lenora will also drop the accompanying visual for “Part-Time Lover” next Friday, October 2, shot by Robert Jordan III and directed by RIOT MUSE.

I should warn you, boy. I’m not like the other girls, Lenora cautions over an upbeat, horn-filled record. Indeed, not like the other girls, Lenora delivers a fresh take at crooning melodies and harmonies on 80s pop style production.

Lenora explains “Part-Time Lover”:

“‘Part-Time Lover’ is a bold and candid record that encourages women to take control of the way we date. A lot of times, there’s this societal pressure to date to marry and for a lot of us women, that is just not the case. Sometimes we’re just here for a good time and there’s nothing wrong with that. We should be able to date, experiment and be upfront about all of that without having to conform to putting labels on it. Sometimes that just ruins the fun.”

Part-Time Lover is the leading single to Lenora’s long-awaited debut project, Girls, executive produced by Polyester The Saint at Truth Studios in Los Angeles.

Lenora first broke the scene with the Slim Thug assisted remix to Relax which is currently in rotation on Radio One’s Majic 102.1 in Houston. Since she hit the scene, Lenora has received an abundance of support from Houston including Boss Hog Outlaw, Slim Thug as well as from music influencers around the country.

ABOUT LENORA

Talented singers can be found all around the world, but there are few artists. An artist possesses a dis- tinct sound that tends to speak directly to one’s soul; a style that often creates a sub-genre of their own. Singer-songwriter, Lenora is indeed, an artist.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Lenora attended the prestigious “High School for the Performing and Visual Arts” and Loyola University New Orleans as a voice major. She accredits her unique vocal style and technique to her intensive study and devotion to classical music.

On the contrary, there is a raw and nostalgic pres- ence in Lenora’s voice that she describes as “home- grown”. Raised by her maternal grandmother, an avid Blues and Soul music collector, Lenora’s early influences include Roberta Flack, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross and Donna Summer.

With her ability to seamlessly fuse genres, it is diffi- cult, if not impossible to place Lenora into a single musical category. Known for her warm and flexible vocal ability, alluring onstage appeal and infectious charm; what is certain is that Lenora is more than ready to take the world by storm!
