King Falcon Embrace Brighter Days With “Holding Out” and Beachy Venice Video

NYC alternative rock trio King Falcon are ushering in a wave of optimism with their new single, “Holding Out,” released alongside a sun-soaked music video filmed in Venice Beach. The track arrives as the band embarks on a North American tour through March and April, supporting NYC rock artist Des Rocs on select dates.
Blending vintage guitar tones, New York grit, and a distinctly modern attitude, King Falcon continue to carve out a space that feels both classic and fresh. “Holding Out” features shimmering guitar riffs and breezy vocals, channeling a hazy sense of hope as it explores the conscious decision to believe in better days ahead. Frontman Michael Rubin, who handles vocals and lead guitar, explains, “‘Holding Out’ is the moment you stop standing at the crossroads, choose a path that feels right, and walk it with quiet faith that better days are on their way.”
The music video doubles down on the track’s laid-back vibe, unfolding like a California daydream. Shot in Venice Beach, it includes sunset scenes, skatepark action, and crashing waves at dusk. The visuals mirror the song’s easygoing energy and irresistible hooks. Rubin adds, “The song just felt like California — so filming the video there felt like the most natural decision we could make. The skateboarding comes from Hayden McKenna, who was not only incredible to spend the day with, but has this rare ability to make the impossible look effortless.”
With “Holding Out,” King Falcon deliver a feel-good anthem that balances NYC edge with West Coast ease, inviting listeners to look forward with hope and confidence. The single and video are out now, with tour dates continuing across North America this spring.

ABOUT KING FALCON

King Falcon are an alternative rock band from New York City, blending vintage guitar grit with modern 21st-century alt-rock attitude. Founded in 2020, the band is outfitted with lived-in and undeniably analog

tools of trade; tastefully channeling the raw emotion of classic rock legends while delivering a fresh,

contemporary edge. Frontman Michael Rubin (vocals, lead guitar), bassist Joe Conserva, and drummer

Dipayan “Dip” Chakraborty craft hook heavy anthems built for both the stage and the streaming age. Their sound sits at the intersection of The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and Foo Fighters–authentic, guitar-driven, and packed with energy.

The self-titled debut album King Falcon (2023) broke out with millions of streams on Spotify, fueled by fan

favorites “Ready Set Go,” “Cadillac,” and “Everybody’s Down.” In 2025, King Falcon’s explosive single

“Plastic Crown” became a breakout hit, soaring to #1 on Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Rock Playlist for multiple weeks and landing at #45 on MediaBase Radio in its first week.

Critics and fans alike have taken notice: MXDWN named King Falcon “Best New Artist,” and Guitar World

praised them as “one of NYC’s most exciting indie-rock bands.” The group has since shared stages with

The Struts, Saving Abel, Des Rocs, Sublime with Rome, and more, earning a reputation for their electric live shows and undeniable New York swagger.

As they roll into 2026 and beyond, King Falcon are sharpening their signature alt-rock sound with a new

slate of singles delivering the same unapologetic spirit that defines them.
