Rallo Bennett Unveils New Name and Heartfelt Single “Lonely With You”

Rallo Bennett, formerly known as RALLO, opens a new chapter with the release of her tender and emotionally rich single “Lonely With You.” The song recently debuted alongside a cinematic music video filmed at The Vessel in Hudson Yards. The release marks her official transition into performing under her full name and bridges the path between her debut album Anymore and her forthcoming sophomore project, Eggshells & Rollercoasters.

To celebrate, Rallo Bennett performed a full-band release show on December 8 at Berlin Under A in NYC.

Blending singer-songwriter intimacy with warm indie rock textures, “Lonely With You” explores the tension between deep love and emotional distance, capturing the feeling of being devoted to someone while still feeling unseen. Despite the ache woven into the lyrics, the song remains playful, carried by clever phrasing, melodic charm, and an airy lightness that lifts the melancholy. Over gentle instrumentation, Bennett sings through miscommunication, mixed signals, and longing: “I… wonder why… I can’t talk to you… I wonder why I’m lonely with you.”

The accompanying music video, directed by Rallo Bennett, expands on these themes through a series of couples moving through The Vessel’s intricate architecture. Featuring an ensemble cast of actors, friends, and collaborators, the film reflects the closeness, distance, and human complexity that define relationships. “As a filmmaker who found my way back to music, it was such a joy to direct the music video for this song,” Bennett says. “‘Lonely With You’ blends searing, heartfelt storytelling with joy and an indie rock wink, and getting to bring that to life with actors, colleagues, and friends made the experience feel full-circle.”

“Lonely With You” was written, composed, and arranged by Alyssa Rallo Bennett and Kevin Spencer Kendrick, with vocals by Rallo Bennett. The track features guitar and keyboard by Kevin Spencer Kendrick, bass by Graham Orbe, and drums by Liam Kerekes. It was engineered and mixed by Stephen Kellner at The Burn Room and mastered by Fred Kevorkian at Kevorkian Mastering.

The music video was directed by Bennett, edited by Amelia Annen, with cinematography and color by Mariano Flores, supported by camera assistants SungChul Cho, Toon de Melker, and Brant Simmons. The cast includes Rosalyn Coleman, Malcolm Mills, Clara Spannaus, Shelbi Muñoz, Sang Hun Kim, Bonolo Tshephe, Zac Branciforte, Toon de Melker, Ivy Wu, SungChul Cho, Emma Duchesneau, Vighnesh Dheenadhayalan, Layla Bowen, Miriam Aslam, Lex Johnson, Alex Berg, and Liz Ortiz.
