The Queen of Waves is making a bold return with her 15-track sophomore album When Worlds Collide, out now on all major streaming platforms. Expanding far beyond the scope of her acclaimed debut The Grand Museum of Illusions, this record is an unapologetic deep dive into genre fusion—seamlessly weaving together psytrance, rock, chillwave, and more into an emotional, high-energy narrative.
Recorded and produced alongside longtime collaborator and partner Autumn Miller, When Worlds Collide is as much a love letter to experimentation as it is a personal mission statement. “I didn’t want it to just be like my last album—I wanted it to be something meaningful and impactful,” The Queen of Waves says. “That’s why I wrote these lyrics with intention, giving each track an inspirational message, not just sounds for the sake of it.”
The album also introduces a new side of her artistry, featuring guitar alongside her signature layered vocals. Among its highlights is the newly released single “Love Is the Answer” and two reimagined mixes of her fan-favorite debut track “Smoke It Away,” crafted for the ultimate laid-back listening experience. “I had so many ideas for the song that I ended up with three separate versions,” she explains. “In the original, the biggest change was running it through my go-to vocal plugin, Polyverse Manipulator, but I wanted to push it further.”
